  • Opportunity for an organised, motivated and adaptable individual with event coordination and administration experience to support the planning and delivery of flagship University events.
  • Join a high performing team executing engaging and impactful event experiences.
  • Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis for 6 months from 23 June 2025.
  • Salary: $91,833 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Brand, Marketing and Recruitment (BMR) division exists for the purpose of showcasing the best of UWA, ultimately enhancing reputation and driving student recruitment.  The division consolidates all marketing, communications and future student related activity into one team, enabling efficiency and effectiveness gains for the University.

The Future Students team within BMR exists to provide strategic student recruitment direction and management for the university. The Future Students team also executes a range of future student recruitment activity, including events.

About the opportunity

  • Support the end-to-end planning and delivery of the University’s flagship events including, but not limited to, Graduations and Open Day.
  • Deliver high quality, engaging and impactful event experiences to support the recruitment, outreach and engagement goals of UWA portfolios, schools and research centres.
  • Provide strategic advice and resources to internal stakeholders to drive a consistent and professional standard of events.

About you

  • Experience in event coordination, project administration, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven ability to prepare high quality events planning documentation and budgets, ensuring information is accurate, reliable and comprehensive.
  • A positive, motivated and adaptable individual with the ability to work and solve problems under pressure, while maintaining a strong focus on service delivery and operational excellence.
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative, problem solve and work productively as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a consistently high level of attention to detail.

 Note:

  • Ability to work outside normal office hours and occasional weekend work
  • Ability to undertake physical tasks such as packing and unpacking materials
  • “C” class driver’s licence will be required by the successful applicant
