About the area
The Centre for Microscopy, Characterisation and Analysis (CMCA) is a core facility at UWA that provides researchers and industry with access to advanced microscopy and analysis instrumentation. As host of the Australian Plant Phenomics Network (APPN) node at UWA, CMCA supports the digital phenotyping of crops in controlled environments and in the field—empowering breakthroughs in plant science and agriculture.
The UWA APPN node is based within the School of Molecular Sciences, a vibrant research hub located in the Bayliss Building, where research and teaching span chemistry, molecular biology, synthetic biology, and more.
About the opportunity
- Provide financial and administrative support, including bookings, purchasing, acquittals, and reporting.
- Support HR, office operations, and compliance, including onboarding and supervision of lab staff.
- Coordinate executive support, client inductions, and travel arrangements.
About you
- Strong administrative experience with relevant qualifications or equivalent competency.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Confident working independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in financial systems, reporting, and office software.
- Experience with university systems (e.g. PeopleSoft, Concur, RIMS) is desirable.

- Occasional after-hours work may be required.
