- Base salary range: $91,833 – $97,052 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
The UWA Defence and Security Institute (DSI) unifies and focusses UWA’s expertise in defence, security, research, and policy. DSI builds partnerships with government, industry, research institutions, and the broader community to generate innovative solutions that strengthen Australia’s sovereign capabilities and promote regional security and prosperity.
About the opportunity
- Coordinate key administrative functions, event logistics, and governance activities that enhance DSI’s research and engagement operations.
- Lead digital marketing activities, including managing social media, updating website content, and promoting DSI initiatives.
- Build and strengthen relationships with stakeholders across government, industry, academia, and the broader community.
About you
- Relevant qualification in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong background in event coordination, stakeholder engagement, and project administration.
- Experience managing social media platforms, websites (e.g., WordPress), and email marketing (e.g., Mailchimp).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
- Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Special Requirements
- Some after-hours and occasional weekend work may be required.
- Must hold a current “C” class driver’s licence and provide own vehicle for work purposes.
