About the area
The International Space Centre (ISC) at UWA is a vibrant and growing hub for research, education, and industry collaboration in the space sector. With research groups distributed across UWA and operations headquartered within the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research building, the ISC leverages cross-disciplinary expertise to drive innovation, influence policy, and contribute to Australia’s space capability. The Centre actively engages with government, industry, and the public to promote impact, commercialisation, and outreach.
About the opportunity
- Oversee ISC’s day-to-day operations, including administration, strategic planning support, and coordination of internal and external engagements.
- Represent ISC nationally and internationally, fostering partnerships with government, industry, academia, and media.
- Lead communications, events, and reporting activities, working closely with UWA’s professional service teams and the ISC Board.
About you
- Degree-qualified in public administration, management, communication, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the space sector in WA and its national/international context.
- Proven ability to engage with academic and industry stakeholders to drive collaborative outcomes.
- Strong planning, event coordination, and project management experience.
- Exceptional communication skills and proficiency in digital tools, including basic web and video conferencing platforms.
Special Requirements
- Occasional flexible working hours.
- Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
