Administration Officer (Student Accommodation and Community)

  • Support operations spanning student accommodation, childcare, sport, and community services
  • Part-time (0.8 FTE) appointment on a permanent/ongoing basis.
  • Base salary range: $91,833 – $97,052 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the area
The Division of Student Accommodation and Community sits within UWA’s Operations Portfolio, overseen by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Operations). The Division supports students, staff, and external stakeholders through a range of residential, recreational, and wellbeing services. This includes the University’s student accommodation services, UWA Medical Centre, UWA Childcare Services, UWA Sport, and the Student Accommodation Program. The Division also manages a range of social enterprises and university-owned assets that foster connection and enhance campus life.

About the opportunity

  • Provide executive-level support to the Director and coordinate a range of administrative functions across the Directorate.
  • Act as Executive Officer to key committees, assist with communications, stakeholder engagement, and delivery of reports and agreements.
  • Manage diary coordination, meeting logistics, and internal engagement activities such as newsletters and staff development initiatives.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
  • Substantial relevant experience at an appropriate level, in a dynamic administrative role.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email; experience in any of the operating areas of the Directorate (Medical Centres, Childcare, Sport, Accommodation) is desirable.
