• Base salary range: $159,292 – $165,497 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

Campus Management is responsible for the planning, development, management and operation of the University’s physical estate and infrastructure. The team delivers integrated property, facilities, asset management, capital works and operational services that support teaching, research and campus life through safe, sustainable and efficient environments.

Within Campus Management, Infrastructure Maintenance plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing UWA’s buildings, accommodation assets and associated infrastructure. The team ensures the University's facilities remain safe, compliant, fit for purpose and capable of supporting the needs of a world-leading institution.

About the opportunity

• Lead the maintenance, refurbishment and improvement of UWA's buildings, accommodation assets and associated infrastructure portfolio, ensuring facilities remain safe, compliant and operationally effective.
• Oversee the planning, prioritisation and delivery of preventative maintenance programs, asset renewal initiatives, refurbishment projects and minor capital works, managing scope, budget, risk, quality and stakeholder expectations.
• Provide strategic leadership across building services, contractor management and project delivery teams while contributing expert advice to infrastructure planning, asset renewal and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

• Relevant qualification in Building, Construction, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of experience and expertise.
• Extensive experience leading building maintenance, facilities management, refurbishment, accommodation services and/or minor capital works programs within complex operational environments.
• Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants and service providers to deliver safe, compliant and customer-focused outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of building legislation, Australian Standards, compliance requirements, accessibility standards, asset management principles and construction practices.
• Demonstrated strengths in stakeholder engagement, financial management, project delivery, risk management and strategic planning across large and diverse property portfolios.

A current National Police Clearance, and “C” class driver’s licence will be required by the successful applicant. Occasional weekend and after-hours work may be required.
