  • Full-time appointment on a 12-month, fixed-term basis.
  • Base salary range: $64,597 – $71,552 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area
The Oral Health Centre of Western Australia (OHCWA), within UWA’s Dental School, is WA’s primary centre for oral health education, research, and specialist care. Each year, OHCWA delivers clinical training to students and care to approximately 14,000 patients. Dental Clinic Assistants (DCAs) play a vital role in both clinical support and patient engagement.

About the opportunity

  • Provide hands-on clinical assistance to dental students and clinicians, supporting patient care and procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of infection control and equipment hygiene in accordance with OHCWA protocols.
  • Perform administrative tasks including reception duties, patient record management, and supply coordination.

About you

  • Certificate IV in Dental Clinic Assisting or equivalent, plus completion of at least three years of secondary education.
  • Knowledge of dental assisting procedures in clinical or teaching environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management abilities.
  • Clerical or reception experience in a dental or medical setting is desirable.

Special Requirements

  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • A valid Working with Children Check is required at the time of application.
