- Base salary range: $129,497 – $137,029 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
The University Library supports learning, teaching, and research through innovative services, resources, and spaces. The Engagement & Experience team focuses on student learning support, inquiry and reference services, IT support, library spaces and facilities, information literacy training, lending, and collection management.
About the opportunity
- Actively lead the planning and development of services to help the University Library meet its strategic and operational objectives.
- Manage and continuously improve inquiry, reference, and student IT support services, as well as library spaces and physical collections.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and lead a team delivering high-quality, student-focused library services.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency; a qualification in library and information studies is desirable.
- Substantial management experience in an academic library.
- Demonstrated knowledge of innovative and client-focused library and information services.
- Demonstrated knowledge of learning support for students including information literacy skills development programs, reference and inquiry services.
- Demonstrated project management experience to deliver continual service improvement.
Special Requirements
- Occasional travel within the state may be required.
- Represent the University at meetings, seminars and conferences interstate, and overseas as required.
