About the area

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at UWA is one of three Departments in the School of Physics, Mathematics and Computing. The Department is well regarded for high quality teaching and research.

About the opportunity

  • Join a research project focused on “New perspectives on nonlocal equations” under the guidance of Future Fellow Serena Dipierro.
  • Contribute to teaching within the department while receiving support and mentorship from experienced academic staff.
  • Develop your academic career with increasing independence in both research and teaching as your experience grows.

About you

  • PhD in an area related to the research project “Minimal surfaces, free boundaries, and partial differential equations”.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver innovative and effective teaching approaches, materials for units and courses.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise teaching activities and co-ordinate teaching staff.
  • Demonstrated commitment in participating in high quality research evidenced by peer-reviewed journal articles published in respected scholarly journals.  
  • Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to team, school and wider University activities such as team and school meetings, strategic planning and program development.
