  • Base salary range: $173,602 – $178,970 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

UWA is making significant investments in the Information and Technology Services to enable its strategic direction and goals.  UWA is also looking to utilise technology advancements to expand its services and create new and innovative teaching and research models.

Robust, flexible, integrated and agile enterprise architecture, information and technology services are vital to enabling the university strategic objectives.

About the opportunity

  • Provide strategic leadership in designing, delivering, and supporting new and updated solutions within a defined portfolio, aligned with the University's strategy, architecture, and business needs.
  • Embed software development and support practices across the application portfolio to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement across research technology platforms, campus digital initiatives, and related operational systems.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in information technology, business, or related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven success delivering large-scale, technology‑enabled initiatives in complex environments, integrating data, infrastructure, and digital services.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑platform programs spanning enterprise systems, IoT, and cloud ecosystems such as Azure and AWS.
  • Strong capability in translating research and campus strategies into cohesive digital service roadmaps that enhance performance and user experience.
  • Deep awareness of emerging technologies and digital transformation trends shaping smart campus and research‑driven environments in higher education.

Note: Some after-hours and weekend work, as well as occasional national travel, may be required.
