- Contribute strong administrative and customer service expertise to a dynamic new College Services team, supporting the effective rostering and scheduling of the casual workforce across the College of Schools.
- Fulltime (1.0 FTE) appointment on a Fixed Term contract (until 13/04/2028). Part-Time may be considered (multiple positions available).
- Base salary: $83,212 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
College Services provides academic administration and technical support services to the University’s schools, including Heads of School, academic staff and research students. The team is committed to providing effective and efficient services in support of the Schools’ and University’s strategic objectives, with a focus on continuous improvement and best practice. The Casual Workforce Operations Team supports the College of Schools by delivering expert, compliant, and efficient casual employment operations. Through strong leadership, trusted partnerships, and continuous improvement, the team ensures consistent processes, reliable workforce data, and effective rostering and scheduling that enable schools to focus on teaching and learning excellence.
About the opportunity
- Under general direction, provide support for the administrative management of rostering and scheduling casual academic staff within the College of Schools, ensuring timely and correct allocation of casual staff to activities/units.
- Administer casual academic employment processes, including maintaining records, contracts, rosters and timesheets, and providing accurate advice on relevant policies, procedures and systems.
- Provide high-quality administrative and coordination support across the College of Schools, including preparing meeting agendas and minutes, responding to complex enquiries, and liaising effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of administrative workflows and practices, undertaking routine tasks, working across teams to deliver high-quality services in a changing environment and other duties to support efficient operations as directed.
About you
- Year 12 or relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent demonstrated experience providing high-level administrative support, preferably within a higher education environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with superior attention to detail.
- Exceptional organisational abilities and proven capacity to manage changing priorities and meet competing deadlines.
- Demonstrate initiative and solve problems while providing high-quality customer service and effective ongoing support as part of a team.
- High level of proficiency across digital platforms, including Microsoft Office 365, with advanced skills in data entry, spreadsheet management, organisational systems, and database administration.
