  • Base salary range: Level B, $118,150 – $139,812 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Department of Sport Science, Exercise and Health is internationally recognised no for sport-related subjects.  We offer accredited (ESSA) undergraduate degrees in Sport Science and Exercise Health, as well as accredited postgraduate programs in Clinical Exercise Physiology, Applied Human Performance and in Exercise Science and Research.  Research within the Department spans clinical exercise to high performance in sport and industry, covering areas such as motor control, biomechanics, exercise physiology and exercise health psychology.

About the opportunity

  • Undertake independent teaching and research in the area of Clinical Exercise Physiology and contribute more broadly to the teaching and research programs
  • Coordinate and lead the instruction of core units, focusing on the foundations of clinical practice.
  • Translation of research evidence into best practices in clinical exercise physiology. You will be responsible for interpreting scientific research, specifically communicating the strengths and weaknesses of different forms of research evidence to students.

About you

  • Evidence of course development, including curriculum development, assessment task development, etc.
  • Demonstrable track record of excellence in the conduct and communication of research, evidenced by peer-reviewed journal articles published in high quality journals.
  • Ability to provide clinical supervision, mentoring, student support and assessment of student competencies in core practicum units.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a strong professional clinical networks to support student experiences, graduate outcomes, and industry partnerships.
