About the area

Finance supports the mission of the University by providing a high quality, end-to-end, flexible and responsive financial management and advisory service including provision of corporate financial transactions and compliance services.

The RCSWA Finance team provides support services to staff and students across the Rural Clinical School of WA. The team is dedicated to delivering high-quality outcomes with a focus on continuous improvement.

The RCSWA is part of the UWA Medical School, offers rural clinical training for students from the three WA medical schools (UWA, Curtin University and Notre Dame) spanning multiple sites across 3,500 km. RCSWA aims to enhance rural education, increase the rural medical workforce, improve health outcomes in rural and remote Australia and conducts primary healthcare research in remote and rural locations throughout Western Australia.

About the opportunity

  • Provide accurate high-level support, advice and administrative processing of staff resources and financial services to meet the needs of the Rural Clinical School of WA.
  • Establish, prepare and process high volume, complex financial transactions.
  • Support vendor management and financial processes at the School level.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency
  • Substantial relevant administrative experience at an appropriate level in an accounting related role
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email
  • Highly developed analytical and numeracy skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial accounting practices and integrated systems

Special Requirements

  • A current National Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Financial Background Checks.
  • This role can be based in any RCSWA site, Albany, Broome, Bunbury, Busselton, Collie, Derby, Esperance, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Karratha, Kununurra, Narrogin, Northam, Port Hedland, Warren Blackwood, Perth (Urban centre).
