We’re looking for a Service Design Lead to play a critical role in shaping how our Apps & Platforms services are designed, transitioned, and continuously improved.

This is a high-impact position where you’ll influence how services are delivered across the business—ensuring they are robust, scalable, and aligned to architectural, security, and operational standards.

You’ll sit at the heart of our Architecture & Design governance, working closely with Suppliers, Solution Architects and Service Owners to ensure services are continuously improved and risks are managed

  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to assess risk, resilience, and security
  • Drive service assurance, ensuring quality and performance standards are met
  • Support major incident and problem resolution, working with key stakeholders to minimise service impact
  • Own and evolve the Service Catalogue
  • Work with Service Owners to define and track KPIs and performance metrics

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • Experience designing and transitioning services within an ITIL-based environment
  • Strong understanding of service management, software lifecycle, release management, and risk management
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights
  • A structured, detail-oriented problem solver
  • Experience designing services that are inclusive, accessible, and sustainable

Desirable

  • Experience working in Agile environments and applying iterative design principles
  • Experience managing third-party vendors or outsourced service models

What’s in it for you

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Private medical insurance & annual health screening
  • Pension scheme (matched up to 7.5%)
  • Company bonus
  • Car allowance
  • Life assurance
  • Staff gas discounts + retail savings

Why join us?

You’ll have the opportunity to shape how services are delivered at scale, working in a collaborative environment where your expertise directly impacts performance, reliability, and user experience.
