We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Gas Engineer who will play a vital role in assisting the Gas Network/Service Engineer to install, replace and maintain underground pipework and associated equipment at customer’s premises and public highways.
The Ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a team and possess strong customer service skills. They will also be able to prioritise well and work to tight schedules.
Key responsibilities will include:
Work safely at all times wearing relevant PPE
Assist the Gas Network/Service Engineer with all aspects of the role
Domestic & Commercial site work including installations, replacement and maintenance of underground pipe work.
Manual handling
Operating Pneumatic tooling in a safe manner
Use of breathing apparatus
Travel will be required as part of the role.
As such we would like you to:
Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
Must be eligible to work unrestricted in the UK
Experience in a similar role
Be flexible and willing to travel
Have strong customer services skills
Be an organised individual
Ideally hold a EUSR SHEA Gas safety qualification
Ideally hold a NRSWA certificate for operatives
Ideally Hold a NPORS plant operators qualification
