About the role
 
Are you a qualified Chef looking for a change of pace? Do you have a passion to work within the aged care sector? About you 
 
You will hold relevant certifications and have a comprehensive understanding of Food Safety Laws and Occupational Health and Safety in a kitchen environment. You will have demonstrated experience in all facets of food preparation including managing a team, menu planning, preparation of daily meals ensuring they are fresh, well presented and appetizing. Furthermore, you will: 
  • Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or higher
  • Food Safety Supervisor Training (Health & Community) - HLTFSE001, HLTFSE005 and HLTFSE007
  • Experience working in a food services environment and in the supervision of staff
  • Interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, employees and volunteers; patience; common sense and an understanding of client service
  • Commitment to work as part of a team and without supervision
  • Ability to be self-motivated and to promote a positive lifestyle environment
  • Well-developed prioritisation and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with discretion and to maintain complete confidentiality
