About the role

To support the Admissions Manager in the support of optimal occupancy rates for VMCH while providing a person-centred, informative, accessible and customer focused interaction with prospective and new residents, their families, support networks, and referrers.

The Care Partner Relationship Manager will develop relationships, pursue and work to increase the profile and reputation of VMCH with relevant Health Care channels. The Care Partner Relationship Manager will seek out opportunities to present VMCH as a Residential Aged Care preferred provider for referrers within heath care and social work networks.  

Remain informed about the Aged Care Sector, VMCH’s point of difference and strategic trends within the industry.

Scope of the Role:   Function width - Approximately 1170 beds Victoria wide

 

Key accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships and pursue new leads within health care referrer pathways. 
  • Remain informed about VMCH’s current occupancy rates and point of difference.  
  • Present VMCH as a high quality, care focused Residential Aged Care provider to prospective leads.
  • Provide relevant, accessible information to the public and service providers on accommodation services provided by VMCH.
  • Work with key external stakeholders across Victoria to increase opportunities to meet optimal occupancy levels across VMCH Residential Aged Care services.
  • Travel to and conduct tours of VMCH facilities and provide sales support and prepare prospectus where required.
  • Work with the Communications team on marketing collateral, advertising, and website improvements to attract new business.
  • Work collaboratively with team members on sites, contractors, or support services to ensure newly vacant rooms are presentable for tours in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate a caring and person-centred approach to all interactions with existing and prospective clients, their families, support networks, and referrers.
  • Understand competitor activity and scan the Aged Care Environment for new operators and trends.
  • Maintain a high-level understanding of other services of VMCH to assist with providing a seamless customer journey.
  • Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Act (1997) and relevant guidelines in relation to resident agreements, the admissions process and accommodation payments.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Contribute to maintenance of a current waitlist and client data for the nominated facilities.
  • Development and implementation of Wellness Program throughout all VMCH RAC sites.
  • Assist in maintaining wellness programs throughout VMCH.
  • Assist in the smooth implementation and replacement of the extra services model in order to maintain revenue.
  • Develop and coordinate events for key stakeholders including VMCH Doctors and Social Workers.
  • Applications for Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) room price uplifts.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrated business development experience within Healthcare, Aged care or Hospitality industry.
  • Capacity to drive results and manage a large client list.
  • Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the legislative changes in Aged Care (including pricing and funding).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build strong relationships with people from diverse backgrounds, with a focus empathy and follow-up, and ability to deal sensitively with complex issues.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and data entry systems.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment and ability to foster effective working relationships.
  • A positive approach to the challenges and demands of business growth.
  • Current Victorian driver’s licence.
