Expression of Interest: Coordinator Disability Housing

We have a vacancy for the newly created position of Coordinator Disability Housing.  This is a full-time position, reporting to the General Manager Disability Services. 

In this role you will work closely with the Disability Leadership Team to meet occupancy targets and growth promoting VMCH to prospective residents.  You will oversee the management of Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) ensuring homes are maintained to a high standard, meet compliance, safety and regulatory requirements and have appeal for residents. 

You will have excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with participants, families, providers and other professionals.  You will require an in-depth knowledge of NDIS funding for SDA occupancy.    

Key requirements for the role are:

• Actively listens residents’ requirements and action as required.
• Liaise with other VMCH divisions to arrange maintenance requirements.
• Communicate with the finance team to follow up on arrears in payments and resolve issues.
• Liaise with other SDA Providers to keep informed of housing options within the market.
• Show compassion while maintaining professionalism.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
