About the role
As the Senior Roster Coordinator, you will lead and support a team of Roster Coordinators to ensure efficient, accurate, and responsive rostering services for clients in the community. You will balance operational excellence with strong customer focus, ensuring client preferences and workforce availability are met in a fast‑paced environment.
This role also contributes to service growth by supporting the transition of brokered services to VMCH and maintaining strong relationships with clients, support workers, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilites:
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching, and support to a team of Roster Coordinators
- Create and maintain accurate rosters that align with client needs, preferences, and worker availability
- Manage unallocated shifts and changing priorities in a results‑focused environment
- Ensure timely responses to enquiries, emails, and service requests
- Maintain accurate data to meet payroll, finance, and reporting requirements
- Support care coordination and respond to client, support worker, and case manager queries
- Identify and escalate risks, incidents, and non‑compliance issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement, quality standards, and service development initiatives

Essential
- Demonstrated experience using rostering software applications
- Proven ability to efficiently roster community‑based services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Desired
- Experience in Aged Care and/or Community Care
- Experience using Carelink
- Strong administration skills
- Qualifications in Business Management or Community Services
