About the role 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and self-motivated staff experienced in laundry services to assist our residents. As a laundry services assistant your focus will be to ensure our residents personal items, laundry requirements and preferences are kept to an excellent standard.

Working as part of a friendly and close-knit team, your focus will be:

• Collect, sort, wash, dry and distribute clothing/linen
• Maintain adequate stocks of supplies at all times
• Ensure cleaning products are available for washing and the correct wash cycle is used for all loads
• Ensure heavily soiled items are handled in line with Infection Control Procedures   

Requirements 

You are an enthusiastic, motivated, self-starter who is eager to develop a career in aged care. To be considered for this role, you will need

• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
• Strong initiative and ability to work without supervision
• Experience working in a commercial laundry facility and/or in working in a health care facility highly regarded but not essential
• Available to work Thursday and Friday each week
