About the Role

At VMCH, our Home Care Support Workers help people stay independent in their own homes with dignity, respect, and a bit of everyday joy.
This is one‑on‑one community care, not facility work. You’ll support clients with daily routines, enjoy meaningful conversations, and help make life at home easier.

Wondering what your day will look like?
You’ll visit clients in their homes and assist with things like:

• Personal care (showering, dressing, grooming) 
• Meal preparation and light household tasks 
• Friendly companionship and social support 
• Driving clients to appointments, shopping or outings 
• Supporting independence and daily routines

About you

We are looking for caring, reliable individuals who genuinely value the opportunity to support older Australians in living independently and with dignity in their own homes. If you believe kindness and connection can change lives, we’d love to hear from you. 

Essentials 

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Home & Community Care or (equivalent) 
• Current Victorian Driver’s licence, up to date car insurance
• Ability to follow a set task list for each client
• Capacity to perform home care tasks adequately and within guidelines
• Willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR certificates
• Willingness to obtain a Police check
