University Preparatory Program (UPP)
The University Preparatory Program (UPP) is a tuition-free program for students who require further academic and discipline specific preparation before commencing a bachelor degree. Our students are incredibly diverse and include domestic low SES, EALD, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, ex-professional looking for a career change, as well as recent school leavers. As an enabling education program, UPP provides avenues into higher education for students seeking non-traditional options. This program enables students to become acculturated with the expectations and practices of studying at university, ensuring they are well suited to enter a bachelor degree successfully. Commencing in 2012, the UPP has continued to grow in size and course offers ensuring students receive a holistic preparation to commence their university studies.
This role would suit qualified and experienced teachers or lecturers looking to commence or continue working in the higher education environment and have a key understanding of, and have a passion for, enabling education, widening participation, and access to educational opportunities for all students.
Role
We are seeking a Lecturer/Tutor for the following courses in 2025:
- Reasoning with Numbers: Statistical Literacy (Semester 1 & Semester 2)
This course is a pathway the Bachelor of Psychological Sciences, the Bachelor of Nursing, the Bachelor of Finance & the Banking, the Bachelor of Economics, and Bachelor of Health & Medical Sciences.
Essential requirements:
The suitable candidate will have strong content knowledge in the relevant course, strong pedagogical practices with an appreciation of enabling students’ requirements.
This position requires a valid WWCC.
