The University is a foundational node of Plant Synthetic Biology Australia (PSBA) which was established under the Commonwealth National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS), subcontracted through BioPlatforms Australia (BPA).

With a considerable degree of autonomy, the Business Manager, PSBA-AU will work in close collaboration with the other members of the Node’s Leadership team.  Previous experience in a biotechnology, plant research environment, and/or related industry is highly desirable.

To be successful you will need:

  • Substantial and demonstrated experience in business operations and financial and human resource management in a service environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective leadership to improve performance, establish a harmonious working environment and maintain an outcome-based focus.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multi-stakeholder projects, including strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Highly developed workload management skills with demonstrated experience in preparing high-quality and timely reports.
  • High level oral and written communication skills to influence diverse stakeholders.
