Casual Rate: (HEO4 - $48.38 - $53.03 hourly rate)

Join the Sparc Hydrogen Project at Roseworthy!

We’re seeking dedicated individuals to visually inspect the facility 7 days a week as part of the exciting Sparc Hydrogen Advanced Research Pilot (SHARP) project to produce green hydrogen via direct solar photocatalytic water splitting. This hands-on role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation and safety of the site.

The Technical Officer will assist researchers conducting experiments and tests from North Terrace campus. The successful candidate will perform daily inspection of the plant and equipment, record performance, report abnormal conditions and undertake basic maintenance, including of the mirror system.

To be successful you will need:

  • Year 12 or equivalent
  • Knowledge and practical experience in a technical, mechanical or scientific field
  • Interest and willingness to be trained and learn about photocatalytic water splitting and concentrated solar
  • Ability to solve problems in field and laboratory settings
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work in a team and interact with a broad range of people.
  • Understanding of HSW requirements, with demonstrated experience in application of HSW in a research environment.
