The University of Adelaide is seeking a senior academic to provide leadership in research and education in the School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences. The successful candidate will be an outstanding researcher in pure mathematics with strong plans for future research and broad experience in teaching and postgraduate supervision. In January 2026, the mathematics teams of the foundation universities will join in a new School of Mathematical Sciences. The joint team’s research strengths in pure mathematics include differential geometry, noncommutative geometry, complex geometry, partial differential equations, complex and harmonic analysis, and mathematical physics. The team is committed to educational quality and pedagogical innovation and is excited to be offering new and innovative coursework programs in 2026.
