JBI at the University of Adelaide is seeking a qualified candidate for a fixed-term, part-time (0.8 FTE) position available for 12 months as a Research Fellow. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to global leadership in evidence-based healthcare.
An exciting opportunity to join JBI, an internationally renowned evidence-based healthcare organisation, and actively contribute to and advance the field of evidence-based healthcare for clinical practice within a speciality field area.
Positioned within the JBI EBP Database Editorial Office the role requires the candidate to work within a team of like-minded individuals who are passionate and driven to improve and provide evidence-based healthcare resources to assist healthcare professionals in their practice.
The successful candidate must be able to lead independently within a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate with national and international experts and other stakeholders within their specialty to synthesise research, develop evidence-based resources and lead research that assists with closing the evidence-to-practice gap.
Candidates with clinical knowledge of aged care practice an understanding of evidence-based healthcare are highly encouraged to apply.
JBI (within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Adelaide) has an internationally recognised methodological approach to evidence synthesis and evidence implementation that is used by academics, clinicians, students and others worldwide.
To be successful you will need:
- Completion of a PhD in a relevant discipline or have equivalent qualifications or research experience.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, including leading research, where applicable.
- Strong track record of high-quality publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation of successful proposal submissions to external funding bodies.
- Evidence of being involved in professional activities relating to research.
- Demonstrated ability to guide and oversee postgraduate and honours students in the research area and supervise research support staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across disciplines and collaborate with industry.
- High level organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage workload within a busy environment and meet competing deadlines.
- Active involvement in discipline and/or faculty meetings and/or membership of a limited number of committees associated with the area of research.
- Ability to perform administrative functions primarily connected with the area of research.
