(Level B) $114,917 to $135,932 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

(Level C) $140,127 to $161,145 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Lecturer (B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) in the area of Speech Pathology to join the School of Allied Health Science and Practice, within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to delivering our innovative Speech Pathology teaching and research programs with our inclusive, future-focused team.

The successful candidate will bring their skill, creativity and experience in developing and delivering education materials for the Speech Pathology Program and will play a pivotal role in teaching and research/scholarship at The University of Adelaide. The candidate will additionally contribute to the operational delivery of the Speech Pathology program and broader activities within the School of Allied Health Science and Practice and Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.

To be successful in a Level B Teaching and Research position, applicants will need:

  • Completion of an Honours degree, higher qualifications or equivalent experience; and a Bachelor or Masters qualifying degree in Speech Pathology, and clinical and/or research experience.
  • Experience in curriculum development and in the delivery of high-quality, student-centered teaching as this relates to undergraduate speech pathology, or broader allied health programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to incorporate contemporary approaches to teaching and learning into course delivery, including through using new technologies to support educational outcomes.
  • Ability to implement successful research projects or activities, and experience with developing relationships and partnerships that foster successful research activities.
  • Ability to supervise student research and/or other student project activities, including demonstrated skills in mentoring, planning, overseeing and delivering projects.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the professional development of self and activities that support the Speech Pathology profession.

To be successful in a Level B Teaching Focused position, applicants will need:

  • Completion of an Honours degree, higher qualifications or equivalent experience; and a Bachelor or Masters qualifying degree in Speech Pathology, and clinical and/or research experience.
  • Experience in curriculum development and in the delivery of high-quality, student-centered teaching as this relates to undergraduate speech pathology, or broader allied health programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to incorporate contemporary approaches to teaching and learning into course delivery, including through using new technologies to support educational outcomes.
  • Ability to implement successful scholarship, evaluative or quality improvement projects or activities.
  • Ability to supervise student project activities, including demonstrated skills in mentoring, planning, overseeing and delivering projects.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the professional development of self and activities that support the Speech Pathology profession.

To be successful in a Level C Teaching and Research position, applicants will need:

  • Completion of a PhD in the relevant discipline, or have equivalent qualifications and be eligible for registration with Speech Pathology Australia as a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist.
  • Experience in curriculum development, coordination and delivery as this relates to speech pathology or broader allied health programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others in the delivery of high-quality course and subject design, and in the delivery of high-quality student-centered teaching at an undergraduate level that includes the capacity to incorporate new technologies and new approaches to teaching and learning.
  • Supervision of honours or postgraduate research projects and experience in liaising and promoting research links with external bodies.
  • Demonstrated academic and management leadership skills, including the ability to mentor less senior academic, research and professional staff, and demonstrated commitment to professional activity.
  • Extensive track record or high-quality research activity and outputs relative to opportunity and demonstrated commitment to professional activity.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the professional development of self and activities that support the Speech Pathology profession.

To be successful in a Level C Teaching Focused position, applicants will need:

  • Completion of a PhD in the relevant discipline, or have equivalent qualifications and be eligible for registration with Speech Pathology Australia as a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist.
  • Experience in curriculum development, coordination and delivery as this relates to speech pathology or broader allied health programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others in the delivery of high-quality course and subject design, and in the delivery of high-quality student-centered teaching at an undergraduate level that includes the capacity to incorporate new technologies and new approaches to teaching and learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and build effective relationships and partnerships in an academic setting.
  • Demonstrated academic and management leadership skills, including the ability to mentor less senior academic, research and professional staff, and demonstrated commitment to professional activity.
  • Demonstrated development and delivery of high-quality education research or scholarship, for example through implementing evaluation of curriculum and student learning outcomes and/or other quality improvement processes.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the professional development of self and activities that support the Speech Pathology profession.
