The Principal DevOps Engineer is a people-focused facilitator and conduit for information, whose purpose is to create trusted relationships that produce seamless and productive project experiences for everyone involved. 

The ideal candidate will believe that intensive, perpetual collaboration with your team and stakeholders is essential to understanding their needs (technical and otherwise) and the 'why' behind them. They will recognise that this is vital to ensure the right problems are being solved with solutions that are desirable, feasible, viable, and well balanced.

• Streamline Release Processes: Build automated release pipelines that eliminate manual catalogue updates and deliver seamless, one-click deployments. 

• Integrate Development Tools: Connect GitHub, JIRA, and other platforms to create unified workflows where releases can be triggered directly from project management systems. 

• Enhance GitHub Workflows: Optimise existing workflows and establish automation for application maintenance, including proactive security patching and system updates. 

• Modernise Development Environments: Transform local development setups by transitioning from basic mocking to comprehensive test ecosystems that mirror production. 

• Deliver Cloud-Centric Solutions: Design and implement scalable, cloud-native architectures that leverage modern platforms for high-performance applications. 

• Contribute to Backend Development: Support Java development projects while optimising applications for cloud deployment, ensuring solutions are both robust and operationally efficient. 

• Champion DevOps Culture: Foster collaboration between development and operations teams while mentoring colleagues in best practices and continuously improving delivery processes.
