We're looking for a high-impact Manager Internal Communications to build frameworks, set foundations, and lead a strong, collaborative approach to internal communications that connects our people to our purpose. 

As the Manager of Internal Communications, you’ll lead a small team responsible for shaping and delivering engaging internal communication strategies that support WorkCover’s strategic priorities. This is a key leadership role where you’ll be the bridge between leadership and our people—ensuring consistent, clear, and meaningful communication that fosters connection, engagement, and a strong organisational culture. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Develop and lead internal communication strategies that align with organisational goals and drive employee engagement. 

• Establish standardised templates, processes, and channels to enable consistency and efficiency 

• Coach and lead a small team of professionals to deliver best-in-class communication solutions. 

• Oversee internal channels such as intranet, newsletters, and events, ensuring they support transparency and inclusion. 

• Champion change communications and guide the organisation through periods of transformation with clarity and confidence. 

• Create communication toolkits and support materials for leaders across the business. 

• Build trusted relationships across the business to ensure messaging is aligned, authentic and impactful. 
   

Key Criteria 

• Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations or journalism. 

• 5+ years’ experience in a senior internal communications role. 

• Proven team leadership experience. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills across a range of platforms and formats. 

• Strategic thinking with the ability to align communication to business priorities.
