As FinOps Lead, you'll take charge of optimising our cloud financial operations across platforms such as AWS and Azure. This is a strategic, high-impact role that combines financial acumen with cloud technology expertise. You’ll work closely with Technology, Finance, and business teams to ensure financial transparency, accurate forecasting, and cost-effective cloud practices.
You’ll also lead the development and implementation of FinOps strategies, tools, and culture across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimise cloud spend through continuous analysis, right-sizing, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Forecast and report cloud costs, providing insightful dashboards and regular briefings to stakeholders.
- Design and implement FinOps strategies, policies, and governance frameworks.
- Educate and engage teams on cost-awareness and cloud spend accountability.
- Leverage tools like AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, Cloudability, and Power BI for reporting and automation.
- Collaborate across the business to embed FinOps into projects from inception to delivery.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related fields.
- FinOps Practitioner certification (Certified Professional highly regarded).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and native/third-party FinOps tools.
- Strong data analysis skills using SQL, Excel, and BI tools like PowerBI.
