We have multiple opportunities for emerging cyber security professionals to develop expertise in a supportive environment while contributing to WorkCover Queensland's mission. You'll work alongside experienced security professionals, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge security technologies and frameworks. 

We're seeking motivated individuals with foundational knowledge in cyber security principles, strong analytical skills, and relevant qualifications in IT or cyber security. Experience with security tools and frameworks is highly regarded. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Monitor security events and incidents using SIEM tools, conducting initial analysis and escalation of potential threats 

• Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities to identify and remediate security weaknesses 

• Support the implementation and maintenance of security controls, policies, and procedures across the organisation 

• Contribute to security awareness programs and training initiatives for staff members 

• Participate in incident response activities and help maintain business continuity during security events
