We’re seeking experienced Customer Managers to lead our Claims teams. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead a team of personal injury claims professionals in guiding them to deliver outstanding customer outcomes. You’ll support injured workers on their journey back to work while achieving sustainable results for Queensland employers and strong business performance outcomes.
The Opportunity
In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll:
- Lead, coach and motivate a team of personal injury claims handlers to deliver high-quality customer and claims outcomes
- Own the outcome by managing relationships with a portfolio of industry-aligned customers and stakeholders
- Provide expert guidance on statutory and common law claims management and premium issues
- Use data and insights to monitor performance, identify trends and drive continuous improvement
- Lead confidently through change maintaining engagement, focus and resilience while unlocking what’s possible for your team
About You
You’re a calm and confident leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads by example. You bring a balance of empathy and accountability — supporting your team to perform at their best while delivering meaningful results.
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
- Experience in a commercial insurance environment — ideally life insurance and/or personal injury claims management (highly desirable)
- Change management experience, including leading people through change to achieve business outcomes
- The ability to create a positive team culture that encourages growth and development – because we’re best together
- Proven success in leading teams to achieve goals and build strong, collaborative relationships
- Strong communication and relationship skills, delivering with heart the ability to empathise and deliver effective customer outcomes
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
