Job Description:

Position Overview: The Employee Relations Officer will be responsible for fostering a positive work environment by managing employee relations, handling grievances, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. This role is crucial in promoting a harmonious workplace and enhancing employee satisfaction and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain employee relations policies and procedures.
  • Manage employee complaints, inquiries, and disputes in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on employee relations issues.
  • Monitor and assess trends in employee engagement and morale, and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct investigations into employee grievances and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to promote a positive employee relations environment.
  • Act as a liaison between management and employees to build trust and understanding.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an employee relations role, preferably within the retail industry.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
