About the Opportunity:

For this unique role, we are seeking an MC Driver at our Portsmith depot in Cairns, QLD. This position is a solo-operation role and carries a significant amount of responsibility. You will complete your tasks with pride, taking ownership in serving our customers in the wider Cairns region.

Day to day tasks include multi-stop pickups and deliveries, scanning of the freight, completion of the appropriate paperwork and liaising with our customers. Once you have returned to the depot, you will unload the truck including operating the compactor, cleaning the bins and reloading the truck for the next days activity. You will also be responsible for stocktaking supplies and maintaining the site.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

• Valid manual MC licence, clean driving record
• Previous commercial driving experience, multi drop preferred
• Dangerous goods ticket preferred (not essential, training provided)
• Willingness to take a Pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test
• Willingness to undertake a National Police Criminal History Check

We are seeking a candidate who can work independently, display a superior commitment to safety and who will represent the Cleanaway Daniels brand with pride. Ideally, you will also have a working knowledge of the Cairns region, as well as confidence to drive outside of the metro areas on a weekly basis.

Due to the nature of this work, evidence of currency of vaccination or the willingness to receive defined vaccinations is essential. This will include Covid (2 shots minimum), Tetanus, Flu Shot and Hepatitis A & B.
