About the Job:

Are you passionate about sustainability and excited about educating communities on environmental initiatives? If so, we have an exciting part-time opportunity for you at Cleanaway. As our Sustainability Environmental Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in delivering educational programs in collaboration with local Councils to promote waste reduction and resource recovery.

• Part time job shared position: 15 hours per week (Wednesday to Friday)
• Flexibility: We offer flexible start and finish times, and you will have the ability to work from home when required.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing educational programs with Halve Waste, including managing media platforms and budgets for waste education.
• Collaborating with Waste Leaders from contracted Council areas, addressing queries and facilitating reports.
• Assisting in producing and reviewing waste guides and other informational materials.
• Serving as a point of contact for resident inquiries on waste streams and contamination.
• Conducting monthly and quarterly reporting, including market research and analysis.
• Providing support to council's waste officers through resident visits and community engagement.
• Leading educational visits and tours at our Materials Recovery Facility

About You:

• A valid Working with Children check would be advantageous or a willingness to obtain.
• A current driver’s license and own vehicle are required.

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about sustainability and confident in delivering presentations to school children and council members. We are open to your experience level and background; however, it would be fantastic if you possess:

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with experience in preparing and delivering presentations.
• A keen interest in educating people on sustainability best practices.
• Ability to work within deadlines, be flexible, and work under pressure.
• Experience with stakeholder management, dealing with various members of the public, suppliers, councillors, council officers, residents, and vehicle operators.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Suite, bonus if you have experience/knowledge of Google Analytics, Social Media Marketing.
• An innovative mindset with the ability to adapt content for different audiences.
