The Opportunity

Reporting to the Production Engineer in the Hydrocarbons Business, this is a fixed term 12-month contract working with operations and maintenance teams. This role will see you contributing to a wide variety of continuous improvement projects relating to process safety systems and regulatory compliance. Additionally, you will also.

• Assist in the preparation of technical procedures, work instruction, work schedules, estimates and work method statements around works managing and opitmising assets
• Support engineering, infrastructure and environment projects to deliver continuous improvement opportunities
• Assist in feasibility studies, assessment and projects
• Ensure tasks are completed on time and on budget

About You

We value teamwork, commitment and are looking for a technically minded individual who enjoys solving problems and is willing to learn and build their skills and experience. To contribute to your success in this role, you will posses;

• An ability to develop safety procedures and standard operating procedures (SOP)
• A knowledge of risk assessment processes
• An understanding of process drawings (P&ID, PFD, etc)
• Effective communication skills with the ability to prioritise within a dynamic environment
• Solid organisational and planning skills, with high standards of accuracy and precision 
• A degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering (or equivalent)
