The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Health & Safety Business Partner, you will oversee the health, safety, and process safety practices for the Eastern Creek site. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong ability to engage and manage stakeholders effectively and foster a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices.
- Assist sites in applying knowledge to reduce H&S risk and prevent injury and illness.
- Assist sites with hazard identification and risk assessment activities.
- Maintenance of current risk registers and development and assessment of effective risk controls.
- Contribute to the development and review of the HSE Management Standards.
- Support sites to conduct HSE incident investigations.
- Collaborate with key HSE team members and stakeholders to effectively partner to deliver key changes or requirements.
- Embed a strong safety culture across site operations through the application of HSE Behaviours and the establishment of a learning culture.
About You
- Tertiary qualified in occupational health and safety, or other relevant disciplines.
- Certification IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.
- Ability to influence and drive change through H&S initiatives and programs.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with all stakeholders.
- Previous experience in blue-collar, high-risk industrial environments desirable.
