Municipal Infield Compliance Supervisor

The Opportunity

In this newly created role, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards. You’ll be in the field, working closely with teams at our four depots to maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. This role involves overseeing compliance and directly engaging with teams in the field, demonstrating best practices in manual handling and safety. Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Conduct regular infield supervision and inspections to ensure safety and environmental regulations of hard waste / curb side collections are met.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry standards across the infield hard waste / curb side collections teams.
  • Work with HSBP to investigate incidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions
  • Provide infield training and support to team members, promoting a strong safety culture and best practices.
  • Assist with the implementation of compliance programs and safety initiatives to improve operational performance.
  • Liaise with Branch Managers to ensure compliance with safety requirements during their team’s infield operation.
  • Report on compliance metrics, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement. 

About You

  • Experience in a compliance, safety, or environmental role, ideally in a field-based position.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and compliance practices.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the transport industry (preferred)
  • High attention to detail and the ability to identify and address compliance issues proactively.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to conduct training and engage with team members at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Participate and lead team toolbox talks.
