Customer Account Specialist - Major accounts

The Opportunity

You will act as a crucial link between our major customers and various business units, ensuring seamless delivery of waste management solutions. In this role, you’ll oversee everything from initial inquiries and solution coordination to quote preparation, account setup, and ongoing client support. If you’re adept at working cross-functionally, resolving complex issues, and managing detailed client reports, this role is for you!

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for our major customer, handling inquiries and collaborating with internal teams to deliver customized waste management solutions.
  • Engage with multiple business units to discuss client requirements, gather pricing, and develop comprehensive quotes for various types of waste services.
  • Present quotes to clients, handle purchase orders, and establish accounts, ensuring a seamless transition from proposal to service delivery across business units.
  • Address client service needs, including resolving invoice disputes, coordinating with drivers, and managing operational requirements.
  • Prepare and organize detailed waste management reports for clients, handling multiple reports and gathering necessary data, to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Work closely with procurement to manage purchase orders and ensure all services meet client specifications and compliance standards.

About You

  • Proven experience in client service, account management, or client relations, with the ability to manage complex client interactions and deliver a seamless end-to-end experience.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, coordinating across cross functional teams, and handling time-intensive reporting requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse teams and clients, with a knack for mediating and problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems and purchase order management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with CRM is essential.
