The Opportunity
Are you driven to make a difference through relationship-building and strategic outreach? As the Community and Stakeholder Relations Manager, you'll develop and lead initiatives to engage with a diverse group of community stakeholders, local councils, government entities, and other sensitive partners. You’ll become the key point of contact for all project-related inquiries, ensuring transparent, proactive communication to strengthen trust and manage expectations effectively.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Community Engagement: Design and implement engagement plans tailored to build strong, long-lasting relationships with local councils, neighborhood groups, and industry stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to ensure clear and consistent messaging aligned with project goals, timelines, and impacts.
- Communication Strategy: Articulate project objectives, address community concerns, and ensure our activities positively influence community perception.
- Issue Anticipation: Proactively identify potential challenges and areas requiring advocacy, addressing concerns with diplomacy and tact.
- Community Advocacy: Represent our organization at community events, public forums, and other settings where stakeholders gather, fostering open channels of communication.
About You
- Proactive Relationship Builder: You bring proven experience in community relations or public affairs, especially in roles where strategic influence and proactive problem-solving were key.
- Emotional Intelligence: High EQ and a natural understanding of human behaviour to engage effectively with diverse community members.
- Skilled Communicator: Able to translate complex project details into clear, relatable information, instilling confidence and fostering transparency.
- Government Relations: Familiarity with local and state government processes, community advocacy, and sustainable initiatives, with a keen eye for identifying risks and aligning with internal stakeholders.
