The Role
This role will require you to service multiple customer sites in a Rear Lift collection vehicle servicing major clients and performing loading and unloading duties. Delivering loads to nominated recycling and disposals facilities and ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction. Must be comfortable with a high level of manual handling.
You will be required to operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with company regulations, complete all paperwork and records accurately.
Must be willing to take a Pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test.

As part of closing the gender gap of drivers in the waste management industry, Cleanaway is running a Driver Academy for Women to address substantive equality for female identifying or non-binary persons in the industry by removing some of the barriers preventing them from getting involved. Cleanaway is seeking women to participate in an intensive training program which includes licencing and other training required to set you up to be a HR licenced truck driver, followed by ongoing learning for the next 12 months.
Paid 5-week training program will include:
- Obtain Heavy Vehicle Licence (HR)
- Uniforms and PPE
- Training program to become a driver
To be part of the program
- Hold a current unrestricted driver’s licence for a minimum of 24 months
- Driving History Check with a minimum of 8 demerit points remaining
- No heavy vehicle driving experience required
