The Opportunity
Cleanaway Riverstone (Scanline) collects and recycles used cooking oil. This product is then used for feed lots, ingredients for animal food, and the production of bio-fuel.
As the plant supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe and effective operation of the processing plant, this role will demonstrate a safety focus and lead a small team. Additionally, you will also be responsible for:
- Coordinating and scheduling day-to-day operations of processing oils.
- Minor repairs/cleaning/painting of customer vessels.
- Managing preventative maintenance on all equipment including tanks, boilers and pumps.
- Liaising with transport providers.
- Purchasing of consumables and yard equipment.
- Inventory management of oil and customer vessels.
- Occasional collection of oil, delivery of customer vessel.
- Driving operational efficiencies within the team.
- Achieving operational targets.
- Maintaining a strong safety culture.
About You
A proactive self-starter who enjoys providing solutions and has solid technical ability. Working in a collaborative team you will also lead a small team. You will also possess:
- Experience in a supervisory role.
- Demonstrated experience working in a processing or manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to and knowledge of safety management systems.
- Moderate experience within the transport/waste/logistics and recycling industries.
- Hold a technical qualification.
- A HR drivers.
- A fork lift licence.
- Understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
