Business Development Manager - SME

The Opportunity

As a Business Development Manager for Cleanaway, your main responsibility will be driving new business activities. You will spend the majority of your time on the road meeting new prospective customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting face-to-face new business development activities.
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Driving our sustainable approach to waste management in new areas to support growth initiatives.
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to improve sales growth.
  • Maintaining your CRM (Salesforce) with client details and following up on leads.

About You

You are a ‘can-do’ and ‘glass half full’ energetic person who thrives on making the sale and meeting new people. You are a confident go-getter who loves achieving results.

This role would suit either someone looking to take the next step in their sales career or someone with Business Development experience, most important to us is your drive, ambition and positive attitude.

It would also help if you have:  

  • The ability to tailor your communication style to the different stakeholders and customers that you meet.
  • Business development experience
  • A current driver’s license and reliable car
  • Resilience and persistence
  • Strong account management skills and the capability to form solid relationships.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.
  • proven experience meeting sales targets
