The Opportunity
As the Equipment Manager, you will oversee the entire yellow gear fleet, ensuring all equipment is maintained, compliant, and optimized for performance. You’ll play a key role in preventative and predictive maintenance, workshop operations, inventory management, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance.
This role offers the chance to lead and improve fleet reliability, cost efficiency, and safety standards while working closely with operations, suppliers, and maintenance teams. If you're looking for a hands-on leadership role with a strategic impact, this is it!
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Oversee the maintenance, servicing, and lifecycle planning of yellow gear.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
- Oversee workshop activities, schedule repairs, and ensure timely servicing of all equipment.
- Ensure all machinery meets regulatory and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements, driving best practices in safety and environmental compliance.
- Monitor fleet-related costs, negotiate contracts, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Continuously assess and improve fleet management strategies, leveraging technology and data insights.
About You
- Proven experience in yellow gear fleet management, heavy equipment, or asset maintenance.
- Understanding of CoR compliance, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Prior experience in leading workshops and maintenance teams to improve fleet performance.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance teams, and external suppliers.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills.
