The Opportunity
We have a rare opportunity for a dynamic Branch Manager to lead our Rockhampton Depot and oversee operations across Mackay, Gladstone, Moranbah, Emerald, and Biloela.
In this role, you’ll lead a diverse workforce of 40+ employees across operations, administration, customer service, and management, with a fleet of over 60 trucks. You will safely manage all operations within our branches whilst delivering the required level of service to customers and ultimately the achievement of operational targets. Your ability to drive growth, optimise efficiencies, and foster a strong team culture will be key to success.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Develop and implement operational plans, policies, and procedures to safely optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the operations staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage operational budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to achieve cost-effective operations.
- Prepare operational reports, performance metrics, and other documentation as required.
About You
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams to achieve performance goals.
- Proven experience in an operations management role within logistics or an industrial environment is desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational optimization.
- Strong safety leadership with a functional knowledge of HSE legislation and safety management systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
