The Opportunity

Located in Mandurah, WA, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing employee performance and managing operational activities to ensure timely and complete task execution, with a strong emphasis on safety and exceptional customer service throughout all operations.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of how your role contributes to the overall performance of the branch, including enhancing route/service efficiency, fostering teamwork, delivering exceptional customer service, promptly addressing issues, and identifying opportunities for growth, all of which support positive financial outcomes.
  • Assist in driving continuous improvement initiatives related to labour management, cost-saving strategies, and optimizing staff efficiency.
  • Be the first point of contact for the operational team to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Cross functional collaboration with Customer Service and Administration teams and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols by overseeing the completion of necessary documentation, including pre-start and post-run checks, to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Address equipment maintenance and servicing requirements, either as part of the scheduled maintenance plan or following pre-start and post-run checks.
  • Optimize customer service and operational efficiency by providing effective supervision to a team of multi-skilled operators.
  • Investigate customer complaints, providing detailed reports to Branch Manager in accordance with established procedures.

 About You

Our ideal candidate will be a people-oriented Supervisor with a background in transport and logistics, possessing strong time management skills and the ability to efficiently manage deadlines. Key qualifications include:

  • Sound knowledge of industrial relations and employee legislation
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental management systems and relevant legislation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience and ability to foster teamwork, ideally within a unionized environment
  • A background in transport, waste management, logistics, or recycling industries is desirable.
