The Opportunity
We have an exciting, unique, and rewarding opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Western Australian Post-Collections and Resource Recovery Business Unit.
Reporting to the Regional Manager – Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), you will be responsible for strategically hunting and securing new business opportunities across multiple sectors, including government agencies, utilities, mining, civil etc.
- Responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within a technical regulatory framework.
- Ensure long-term growth and profitability of the division by identifying and developing relationships with key clients and generating new business.
- Submit quotes and ensure waste volumes meet regulator acceptance criteria
- Provide excellent customer service and build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Meet volume and compliance targets in accordance with business metrics and targets.
- Collaborate with other business units at Cleanaway.
About You
For this technically focused sales role, you will bring an outgoing personality with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Previous solutions sales experience is preferred.
- A background in Chemistry or waste management would be highly regarded.
- Previous experience using a Customer Relationship Management tool, such as Salesforce, is beneficial.
- Excellent time management via your calendar to ensure you have adequate time in-field and manage administration tasks.
- This is an autonomous role, so you must be a self-starter.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A tenacious, resilient attitude and results-focused approach.
- Works well under pressure, hunts opportunities, and drives new business.
