Fixed Plant Maintenance Coordinator

The Opportunity

In this newly created role, the Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating the planned maintenance of Cleanaway Solid Business throughout the NT, QLD, and part of the NSW region, as well as the operational function, working with site-based teams and third-party service providers.

Supported by the Fixed Asset Manager- SWS, the Maintenance Coordinator will work with current CMMS systems to support SWS sites, focusing on high initiative to ensure that safety, compliance, and statutory work are completed as planned. You will oversee planning, scheduling, and verification of completion of all scheduled maintenance activities.

The role is based in Brisbane and requires travel within the region of responsibility.

Guided by our Values, your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordination of fixed assets maintenance from scheduling to completion with the site-based maintenance team (where applicable), the operation team, and third-party contractors' service providers.
  • Verification of fixed assets maintenance, preventative maintenance, and corrective machine is completed as per plan.
  • Use the CMMS system to drive maintenance plans, schedules, and execution.
  • Supporting critical spares management and ordering.
  • Actively monitor the workplace to determine the presence of hazards and take appropriate action to rectify.
  • Supporting all maintenance activities to be performed safely.
  • Participate in machine safety inspections, risk assessments and modification controls (MOC, MYOSH, etc.).

 

About You

  • A strong knowledge of computerised maintenance management system (Oracle JDE is advantageous)
  • Exposure to fixed plant / industrial equipment maintenance planning tasks in multiple sites or a large complex plant.
  • Track record of effective coordination and control of planned maintenance.
  • Development and implementation of effective maintenance plans for fixed plant and equipment.
  • Customer service support, including communication and liaison with a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience working within a systems maintenance support team or workshop environment.
  • Ability to influence and develop key relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and exposure to regulatory body requirements, safety risk assessments and reporting, change of management controls (MOC, MYOSH, etc.).
  • Plant experience and relevant trade qualification (Electrical or Mechanical preferred) is essential for this role, and a tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline is desirable.
