Senior Cyber Security Analyst

The Opportunity

This Senior Cyber Security Analyst is crucial in maintaining Cleanaway's information protection agenda as the business and technology programmes evolve, providing greater visibility and understanding of changing risks.  You will safeguard Cleanaway’s assets, data and systems against cyber and security threats by monitoring, detecting, responding to security incidents and leading remediation efforts. 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Build and execute cybersecurity processes, improving detection and response while also maintaining and updating incident response plans and SOAR playbooks.
  • Lead engagements to ensure a rapid response to security incidents and the resolution of security risks.
  • Proactively monitor assets for compliance against security benchmarks and work with stakeholders to address non-compliance.
  • Monitor and uplift security tools - Application Whitelisting, EDR and SWG.
  • Use contextual information from sources such as threat intelligence, asset priority and security incidents to prioritise risks and address vulnerabilities.
  • Drive initiatives for continuous improvement of security products and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

 

About You

The right candidate will have enterprise experience using security tools with the ability to troubleshoot, identify and implement new use cases to improve the overall security posture of Cleanaway.  You are driven by continuous improvement, a capable communicator, you thrive in a collaborative working environment and feel comfortable influencing positive outcomes.  To be successful in this role, you will also hold…..

  • An understanding of ITSM, and the ability to lead and manage the response to cyber incidents.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Endpoint Detection and Response, Vulnerability Management, Application Whitelisting, Firewalls, Web/Email Gateways and SIEM/SOAR
  • A solid understanding of Cyber Security Operations/Engineering within enterprise environments which include on-premises, private and public cloud such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or similar.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification along with security certification, vendor product certifications such as COMPTIA SECURITY +, CISSP, ECSA, CEH, SANS.
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, ASD E8, C2M2 and OWASP
  • Working knowledge of Windows/Active Directory and Azure/M365/Entra
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions under pressure.
