- Inspiring through action – Oversee the contract and ensure KPIs and service levels are exceeded, not just met.
- Driving cultural change – Build a strong, engaged team and create a high-performance culture.
- Being on the ground – Work closely with the Branch Managers, Supervisor and Drivers, understanding challenges firsthand and providing real-time support.
- Building strong relationships – Act as the main point of contact for council partners, ensuring seamless collaboration and transparency.
- Ensuring safety & compliance – Keep operations aligned with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Managing budgets & performance – Keep a sharp eye on costs, identify efficiencies, and drive improvements that make a real impact.
About You
- Experienced & adaptable – You have a background in operations management within waste, transport, logistics or manufacturing.
- A true leader – You know how to build, motivate, and manage teams while fostering a collaborative and positive culture.
- Resilient & hands-on – You don’t shy away from curve balls, instead, you tackle them head-on and thrive in dynamic environments.
- Relationship-focused – You’re skilled at managing stakeholders, particularly within councils and government.
- Commercially savvy – You understand budgets, contract performance, and efficiency drivers.
